DATA DICTIONARY
This document describes the variables used in the study dataset collected through Google Forms.

Demographic Variables:
-Educational Level: Current educational qualification level of the participant (High School / Undergraduate / Postgraduate / Other)
-Gender: Participant gender (Male / Female / Other)
-Institution Type: Type of educational institution attended (Public / Private)
-Age: Age of the participant (Numeric)
-Course: Academic program pursued by the student (e.g., BCA, MCA, B.Tech, B.Com, etc.)
-Year of Study: Current year of study (1st Year / 2nd Year / 3rd Year / 4th Year)


Academic Performance Variables:
-Last Semester CGPA / Percentage: Academic performance in the previous semester (Above 9/90%, 8–9, 7–8, 6–7, Below 6)
-Number of Subjects Failed (if any): Number of failed subjects (0, 1, 2, 3 or more)
-Current Semester Attendance Percentage: Attendance percentage category (Above 90%, 75–90%, 50–75%, Below 50%)
-Assignment Submission Frequency: Frequency of submitting assignments on time (Always / Sometimes / Rarely)
-Previous Dropout or Study Break Experience: Indicates whether the student has previously dropped out or taken a long break from studies (Yes = 1, No = 0)
-Class Attendance Consistency: Frequency of attending classes (Regularly / Occasionally / Rarely)


Family and Financial Background Variables:
-Parents’ Education Level: Highest education level of parents (No Formal Education / School Level / Graduate / Postgraduate or Above)
-Family Monthly Income: Monthly household income category (Below ₹10,000 / ₹10,000–₹30,000 / ₹30,000–₹50,000 / Above ₹50,000)
-Financial Support Source: Primary source supporting educational expenses (Parents / Relatives / Self / Scholarship / Educational Loan)
-Financial Difficulties in Continuing Education: Indicates financial challenges affecting education continuation (Yes = 1, No = 0)


Student Engagement and Well-being Variables:
-Participation in College Activities: Frequency of participation in extracurricular or college activities (Always / Often / Sometimes / Rarely / Never)
-Academic Stress Level: Frequency of stress related to academics (Often / Sometimes / Rarely)
-Satisfaction with College Environment: Student satisfaction with the institutional environment (Yes / No / Not Sure)
-Support from Teachers and Friends: Perceived level of academic and emotional support (Very Supportive / Somewhat Supportive / Not Supportive)
-Health Issues Affecting Studies: Indicates whether health issues affect studies or attendance (Yes / No / Sometimes)
-Personal or Family Problems Affecting Studies: Indicates whether personal or family issues impact studies (Yes = 1, No = 0)
-Emotional or Academic Support Availability: Availability of support from family or friends (Always / Sometimes / Never)
-Comfort in Discussing Issues with Mentors: Comfort level in discussing academic or personal issues with teachers or mentors (Yes / No / Sometimes)


Motivation and Course Interest Variables:
-Interest in Current Course: Level of interest in the enrolled course (High Interest / Medium Interest / Low Interest)
-Reason for Choosing Course: Main reason for selecting the course (Own Interest / Parents’ Decision / Friends Suggested / Just for Getting a Degree)
-Thoughts About Discontinuing Studies: Indicates whether the student has considered discontinuing studies (Yes = 1, No = 0)
-Satisfaction with Learning Facilities: Satisfaction level with institutional learning facilities measured using a Likert Scale from 1 to 5


Note:
-Likert Scale used for learning facilities satisfaction:
1 – Not Satisfied
2 – Slightly Satisfied
3 – Neutral
4 – Satisfied
5 – Very Satisfied
-Responses were collected anonymously through Google Forms.
-Data were used only for academic research and analysis purposes.
-No synthetic or generated data were used.
