      to the   <prot>cyclin A</prot> - <prot>Cdk2</prot>   complex.

AB  - The crystal structure of the human  <prot>p27Kip1 kinase</prot>  inhibitory domain bound
      to the phosphorylated  <prot>cyclin A</prot>-<prot>cyclin-dependent kinase 2</prot> (<prot>Cdk2</prot>) complex 
      has been determined at 2.3 angstrom.   <prot>p27Kip1</prot>   binds the complex as an
      extended structure interacting with both  <prot>cyclin A</prot>  and  <prot>Cdk2</prot> . On <prot>cyclin A</prot>,
      it binds in a groove formed by conserved cyclin box residues. On <prot>Cdk2</prot>, it
      binds and rearranges the amino-terminal lobe and also inserts into the
      catalytic cleft, mimicking ATP.
